Economic Development
The Attawapiskat Development Corporation (ADC) is the economic development organization proudly serving Attawapiskat First Nation. As a community owned organization, ADC works to create opportunities that strengthen the local economy, support community growth, and improve the quality of life for present and future generations.
ADC plays an important role in building a strong and sustainable future for Attawapiskat by developing projects, supporting local businesses, delivering essential telecommunications services, and creating employment and training opportunities. Through collaboration with community members, organizations, government partners, and industry, ADC continues to invest in initiatives that promote long term economic success and community well being.
Over the years, ADC has helped improve connectivity within the community through local cable television, internet services, and K Net Mobile cellular service, making communication more accessible for residents, businesses, and visitors. These essential services have become an important part of everyday life and continue to support education, business, emergency response, and family connections.
Economic development remains at the heart of ADC’s work. The organization supports business development, community investment, infrastructure projects, and new opportunities that encourage local employment and strengthen community capacity. ADC is also committed to supporting workforce development by expanding access to training, skills development, and career opportunities that help community members succeed both locally and throughout the region.
Guided by a Board of Directors and supported by dedicated staff, ADC remains committed to creating opportunities that reflect the priorities and aspirations of Attawapiskat First Nation. By investing in people, partnerships, and sustainable development, the organization continues to build a stronger, more connected, and more prosperous future for the community.
